Where's That Then? No 40

Hopefully a less tricky one this week. What can I say other than I'm often going round the ring road here and swerving into the local Waitrose for one of their Hoysin Duck wraps and a bottle of Oasis Summer Fruits. There you are you see, a Waitrose. What a clue.

    The way the road leads down to it reminds me of Holyrood Palace but as I've only paid a fleeting visit to Edinburgh I don't remember the surrounding hedge of trees and don't know if the shape of the building is correct from this angle.

    When I'm king, Helsie, Waitrose will be the only supermarket allowed in Unmitigated England. More expensive than the others, but I think worth the extra you pay to be treated as if your custom is really appreciated. The fresh food is excellent, and they have the best range of bottled beers. Which is very important, trust me.

    An old favourite, this place, which I'd have got if I'd not been late to the blog, as I usually am. The park beyond the great house is generously left open to the public most of time and is a splendid composition of woods and rides.

    Have to take exception there, marvellous though Waitrose undoubtedly is, Booths supermarkets are the benchmark when it comes to bottled beers. Alas since moving to Somerset my nearest branch is in Knutsford Cheshire making shopping there rather impractical.

    As Edinburgh has been mentioned, can I recommend the animated fim by Sylvain Chomet 'The Illusionist' which lovingly recreates 1950's Edinburgh. the artwork is brilliant.
