Where's That Then? No 10

So sorry for the delay this morning. School run, blah blah. Much to say about this place, but anything said would immediately give it away. Nevertheless, I think it's one of the most hauntingly spectacular places in England. That's it really.

This is really annoying. Quite a few of the previous ones I knew but someone else got in first. Now I seem to be the first, but I haven't got a clue. Drat.

Looks a bit like St.Ives - the one in Cornwall, that is.

Could it be Lindisfarne? (with the mainland in the background?) I spy a ruin of some sort and a slipway...

Bingo Williamandemma. It is indeed Holy Island, and that is Lindisfarne Priory. This shot is taken very near to the the castle on its cone of rock, converted by Edwin Lutyens for his mate Hudson, founder of Country Life magazine.
