Closing Down Tale

I'm sorry there hasn't been a post since last November, but I've decided after eleven years to close the blog. But all is not lost. I've decided to do very regular posts on both Facebook (Peter Ashley) and Instagram (Unmitigatedpete). Having tried it out I do find that the immediacy of it means that we can have dialogue much as we did in the early days of the blog. And, of course, the posts will remain here, and I am considering putting a big selection into a book at some time. Most importantly though, I want to thank all of you who signed up to see what happens in Unmitigated England. I hope to see you again soon!

ahhh shame. I don't do Facebook or Instagram, but I am very pleased you are leaving the blog in place. Good luck with the book.

Time to investigate Instagram. Thank you for your blogs over the years which I have enjoyed very much.

The blog has entertained us and informed us for years - and the great thing is, the posts are still there. Many good sihes for all your other endeavours.

I too must try to get back on Instagram. I gave up when it got me in an infinite loop, offering me the option to sign or 'with Facebook' or not, and whichever I tried, it just went back to giving me this option. I felt like Faye Dunaway being slapped by Jack Nicholson in Chinatown, when she is trying to tell him that Katherine is her daughter AND her sister. So I got out of town.

Keep your lens clean. Wilko.

I shall look you up on fb then Peter. Thanks for the blog though; it's been very entertaining, informative and thought provoking. I look forward to the book.
